UNION TO SELF

the people closest to you deserve the best of you.
This is the training that gets you there.

You handle everything.

Except for the man doing the handling.

You're fine with everyone else. It's the people closest to you who get the worst of you. You snap, or you go cold, and you know it while you're doing it. You've stopped trusting your own gut. Or you're single now, scared you'll wreck the next one the way you did the last. Either way, this isn't the life you thought you'd have.

If any of that hits, you're in the right place.

This is 1-on-1 work, and it starts with you.

Here's what changes.

  • You trust yourself

You make a decision and feel good about it. The second-guessing that ran your life goes quiet.

  • Your body comes back

You sleep through the night. You react less and choose more. Your weight settles, your strength comes back.

  • People feel you

What you say and what you feel finally line up. People feel it, and they trust you again.

  • Energy you own

The energy you lost to anger comes back. It goes into your work, the people close to you, the life you want.

You can't give them

what you don't have.

The love you try to give never quite lands. They can feel you reaching for it, working to make them love you back. And when they name it, it wrecks you. The shame sets in and you feel like a fraud.

So you get nice. Agreeable. You keep the peace, you swallow what you actually think so nobody's uncomfortable. But the people closest to you feel the difference between a man who's present and a man who's managing them. The niceness reads as what it is. A performance. That's the bullshit you can't hide. Every time you bury what you meant to say, the resentment builds, because you abandoned yourself again to keep them comfortable.

They didn't ask for another problem solved. They asked for you. Present, in the room, telling the truth. That's the one thing you can't hand over, and it leaves you tired in a way sleep doesn't touch.

You can't fool the people closest to you. They know you better than you know yourself. You're not mad at them. You're mad you still can't figure this out. Because you can't give what you don't have. No one taught you to feel it in yourself, so there's nothing to hand them.

This is why the work starts with you.

What you don't resolve, they inherit.

UNION TO SELF

PRIVATE 1-ON-1 COACHING, SHAPED TO EACH MAN

YOU DID NOT LOSE YOURSELF ALL AT ONCE. UNION IS HOW YOU COME BACK.

Somewhere back there, you learned love had to be earned. You got it by performing, achieving, doing enough to deserve it, never just for being you. So your nervous system built a program around it. Perform, provide, produce.

It kept you safe and got you approval, so you ran it for decades. You still are. It runs so automatically now that you don't even feel it move, and that's why you don't feel in charge of your own life. This isn't weakness. It's a program you've run so long you can't see it anymore. And the cost of it is you. It pointed you outward, at everyone you take care of, until there was nothing left for yourself. You've never been the one you look after.

You can't get there alone. Your nervous system won't settle enough to show you the truth by yourself. It needs someone else in the room, someone steady who doesn't flinch and stays with you while the old thing comes up. That's what this is. You and me, going down to where it started, finding the part still stuck there, and staying with it until it loosens. The pieces come back into one. That man is you. This is you coming home. That's UNION.

Your Training

YOU GET THE REPS UNTIL THE NEW RESPONSE FIRES ON ITS OWN.

You already know how this works, because you've trained your body before. You know what it's like to be bad at something, put in the reps, and watch it turn automatic. Nobody thinks their way into a heavier deadlift or a cleaner jab. You drill it until it lives in the body.

Your nervous system is no different. Right now it fires before you get a say. Someone uses a certain tone and you're already tight in the chest, already pissed, already gone. You've tried to think your way out of it, and it doesn't work, because the reaction is faster than the thought. So we train it. You learn how your own nervous system works under the hood, the real reason you go where you go. A charge comes up, you feel it land in the body, and you learn to answer from something other than the old program. Do it enough, and the new response starts firing on its own.

Every week you get a practice built for where you are, not pulled off a shelf. Yours. And I hold the line, so the work stays real and you stop letting yourself off the hook. The point of all of it is that you walk out able to steady yourself. On your own, in the moment, without reaching for me or a device or anything outside you. You get the tools and the reps, and then the tools are just yours.

One-on-One Sessions

Private time with me, one to one. Where the real work happens and the parts of you start coming back into one.

Training Every Week

A practice built for you each week. Reps for your nervous system, the way you would train a lift. I hold you to them.

Tools You Keep

You learn to bring your own body back down when it fires. On your own, without me.

WHO YOU'D BE WORKING WITH

I didn't learn this from a book.

I lived it.

I'm Spencer Harber. I work with men one to one, out of Cape Town.

I grew up in a house where being myself wasn't safe. My father's anger taught me to read everyone else and disappear myself. So I got good at performing. I paid for it the way men do. Substances. One conquest after another, chasing approval that was never going to fill me.

Finding my way back was the hardest, most important work of my life. I'm still in it. That's the ground I coach from. The training sits under the work. Board certified, polyvagal-informed, Somatic Experiencing. That's background. What I bring is that I know what it costs to lose yourself, and I know the way back.

This runs on trust, and I don't expect you to hand it over up front. It gets built. Anything you want to know about where I've been, ask me. I'll tell you straight. The more real this is between us, the more we can do. That's yours to decide, in your own time. No pressure from me.

I know the way home.

Spencer's work gave me something to practice.

"Working with Spencer felt different than therapy. I wasn't just talking about my life, I had something to practice every week. That's where the progress came from. Five months in I'm sober, I'm present with my kids, and I lead myself now. That's what lets me lead my family."

Frequently Asked Questions

How is this different from the therapy I've already tried?

Most therapy keeps a man in his head, narrating the same story while nothing underneath it moves. This works in the body, where the pattern actually lives. You stop analyzing what happened and start feeling your way through it. That is the part that shifts.

What if I open something I can't close?

That fear is the reason you've kept the lid on for years. Here you never go in alone, and we never move faster than your system can hold. Nothing gets pried open. We build enough safety that what's been waiting can finally move, at your pace.

Isn't all this feeling stuff soft? I've spent my life pushing through.

Pushing through is what got you here, running on empty and feeling none of it. This is not about feeling good. It is about getting good at feeling, and that is where your power has been the whole time. A man who can hold his own charge stops leaking it at the people he loves.

I'm slammed. How much time does this actually take?

The sessions are one to one and the practices are small, built into the week you already have. You are not adding a second job. Most men find the quiet war they've been running against themselves was costing far more than this ever will.

What if I invest in this and nothing changes?

That fear is fair. You've spent money on things that went nowhere. This works at the level of cause, in the body, where the old pattern actually runs. The discovery call is where we find out honestly whether it's a fit, before you commit to anything.

IT STARTS WITH A CONVERSATION

LET'S TALK

Book a call. We'll talk honestly about what's going on and what you're carrying. If it makes sense to work together, we'll find that out.

If you need to sit with it longer, that's fine too.

Either way you leave the call having looked at something you've been carrying alone, and that's where this starts.

THE FIRST STEP IS A CONVERSATION

It's the way back to the man you left behind.

You have read this far for a reason. You've managed this alone long enough.
